I used to sleep with the tv on, but that was also during a time when I had a stalker and needed the background noise or I would sit up all night listening to every little sound.
Now, I sleep with it off and cannot stand to have the noise when it is on!
One thing I recently learned is that in order to get the proper type of sleep you need to sleep in a room that is totally dark with as little noise as possible. The light and sound keeps your brain active and prevents it from entering the stages of sleep you require for good health.

Off. Although I can fall asleep with it on but will wake up to turn it off. If I'm watching TV late at night, I'll set the sleep timer for 30 mins or an hour in case I fall alseep before I'm ready to turn it off.

Watching TV in the evening puts me to sleep in my chair. Unfortunately if I've gone to bed and someone else has the TV on, I can't sleep.

UGH! That is my pet peeve. My husband likes to sleep with it on. I HATE it, so I stay up late and go online instead. That way, by the time I get to bed, the tv is thankfully off.
