I know they're synonyms; however, a friend of mine says it's different... he says it's in the eyes. I already asked him and have an answer from him but I want to know what you think.

I think people are pretty on the outside, but real beauty comes from within. To be beautiful you have to have it all, brains, personality and last but not least.....looks.
I thinks thats why you always hear the saying about someone being a beautiful person on the inside.

Pretty is just an exterior look, its on the outside, its superficial, its temporary.
Beautiful last forever, its something that is unique that you keep it inside. It's from the inner that enhances your exterior and overall look.
A person can have a pretty face but not beautiful. Other could might have flaws but beautiful because her beauty is from the inside of her that flows.

Yes, pretty is being attractive on the outside, but beautiful is from the inside!! You can be unattractive on the outside but if your heart is full of love, then you are beautiful.

there is pretty and there is beautiful and both are great in my eyes but being single what attracts me most is being sexual and to do that you don't need to be pretty or beautiful you just have to be sexy

pretty -- its more for little girls. "aw youre such a pretty little girl".
beautiful -- you're an eye-catcher. people can look at you and be like, "this person is genuinely good-looking"
that good enough?
