There are ones that are awesome for everyone, and there are ones that are for specific types of people.
General:
Adblock Plus - block banner ads, iframe ads, all kinds of image ads...
Adblock Filterset.G Updater - automates the filters that the above uses.
Tab Mix Plus - reopen closed tabs, put a close button on every tab, mark the tabs you haven't opened yet...
Fasterfox - tweaks that speed up pages downloading (not that it's an issue)
Image Zoom - zoom in, zoom out
Download Statusbar - keep those downloads in a small row on the bottom of your screen instead of a new window. Also supplies the size of the download, how much you have of it and what your download speed is.
Noscript - only allow the sites that need to use Javascript to have it.
Specific:
Web Design:
Web Developer - incredibly amounts of information and things you can do. Tweak CSS and HTML on the fly! Find out the name of the ad-carrying Div you want to block in Stylish... So much stuff to do...
Stylish - Customize any site you visit. Instead of putting your site specific CSS tweaks in UserContent.css, put it here, and see it's effects immediatly.
Greasemonkey - site specific Javascripts. Customize any site you visit.
Platypus - Rearrange / edit any site you go to, and save the changes for Greasemonkey
IE View Lite - For those times when you need to hack your code to behave in CSS neanderthal Internet Explorer.
Opera View - See how your site looks in Opera.
Internet Power User:
Several of the above and:
Quickcheck - mass checking and unchecking of checkboxes. Great for use in web-based e-mail.
Repagination - get those 5 results per page search results onto one long page. Or two. Or five pages.
Sage - sweet interface to read your RSS Feeds
Scrapbook - like saving a page, but you can edit out the stuff you don't want. And it keeps a record of where you got the page from.
Session Manager - Windows decided to take a nap without asking? Aka crashed? This will remember what you were looking at.
AJAK Yahoo! Mail - turn your web based e-mail into more of a Outlook / Thunderbook feel with "stay on the page opening of e-mails." Also great for archiving - open all the e-mails on one page and save.
Bookmark Duplicate Detector - find those bookmarks that are clones.
Menu Editor - when you have THIS many extensions you have a lot of options on your shortcut (right click) menu. This allows you to cull it down to what you use.
Yes... I have ALL of these installed. And I'm stable as can be.

tis humorous they brag approximately how plenty safer firefox is, yet there's no help for 0.5 the products out on the internet, in case you prefer to view a clip in quicktime you are able to acquire a module, acquire a module for this that and the different and the subsequent element you already know firefox crashes does no longer open or once you replace this technique it gets all perplexed and opens firefox dwelling house website and you won't be able to get it to open the dwelling house website you pick. you are able to uninstall sparkling all historic previous of this technique and optimistically if it is going to artwork. i'm heavily pondering downloading Google Chrome to confirm if that browswer is from now on perfect. I in basic terms as much as date IE to eight. i'm able to surf the internet swifter and much less crashing.

Why don't you go to the Firefox page, and look at the TOP PICKS by Firefox users?
Everyone here is either insane, running Internet Exploder, or would send you a virus name!
And, are you running Linux? http://pclinuxos.com is my favorite that runs Firefox VERY fast! (Upto about 50X faster than the Microsoft virus magnet!).
