I believe it takes two....this poem is so true...
I didn't marry you because you were perfect.
I married you because I loved you.
I married you because you gave me a promise.
That promise made up for your faults.
And the promise I gave you made up for mine.
Two imperfect people got married and it was the promise that made the marriage.
And I believe that anyone having that in a relationship married or not, it takes two people making that promise to each other to give it a good start.

I still believe in marriage. I think a family living together under one roof is still the best situation for raising children. I like the romantic idea of growing old together and watching as your children raise their own families.
In reality, once the kids are gone there isn't much to hold people together. Some times the kids are not enough to hold people together. We have become a selfish nation wanting it all and not wanting to work for it all.
In my little part of the world the things got better after the divorce. I am much happier. I don't know about the future, by right now marriage is very far down on my list of things I want to do.

I do think one person for life. Sometimes divorce is inevitable for obvious reason's, cheating, abuse, things like that. I am divorced and remarried. My husband now will be for life. We've been married 25 years and still in love. Relationships are hard sometimes and everyone has their own opinion about marriage. This is just mine.

I think that there are all sorts of different marriages as we speak - the right one is what is best for you. I think open marriages are wonderful for people with boundaries that communicate well. I also think it is beautiful that two people can commit to each other with only one another in mind. I guess the answer is - "what ever floats your boat"

I believe that marriage is a lifelong commitment that can only be disolved due to infidelity. I also believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. That is how it is stated in the Bible so that is what I believe.

Yep... My personal opinion is we choose who to love and we choose who not to love. Once we take that step of marriage it should be forever. People choose to cheat to "fall" out of love, and to move on to others. I am not an overly religious person but my opinions are that STD, AIDS are running rampant becasue we are a careless society that has lost all morals. Just think if we stayed with our partners of the OPPOSITE sex forever AIDS and all the other STDs would eventually be controlled and possible eliminated, these diseases are created by our low morals.

Of course I believe in the old fashioned marriage! That is between a man and a woman. In other words, not man and a man, not woman and a woman, and certainly not man and women!

How about a renewable five year commitment, where you could take a break for a month to get some strange before you commit to another five years?

Try this: take a hammer, strike your foot as hard as you can. Do this everyday. That is marriage.
