1. Program your alarm & don't hit snooze.
2. Have a second alarm set for 3 minutes later, across the room.
3. Have coffee or Jolt available immediately upon waking.
4. Get up and shower immediately.
5. Get dressed & make your bed so you won't get back in it.
6. Get plenty of physical activity during the day.
7. Do not toss & turn in bed, read in bed, watch t.v. in bed, etc. Beds are for sleeping, and sometimes we need to remind our brains of this.
Try this for a few days and see if it doesn't self-correct.

try changing your routine gradually, going to bed a little earlier each night, and getting up a bit earlier each day. Using artificial sleep aids like booze or nyquil and stimulants like caffeine won't make a permanent change.
