well i have to say is i'm going thru the exact same thing rite now. my 11 month old won't sleep in his crib anymore either. but i've found that me n my husband can get some alone time if we let him fall asleep on our bed and then quietly and gently move him to his crib. or you might consider hiring a sitter for a few hours. there's lots of possibilities out there for this kind of thing...u just have to get your boyfriend and consider these possibilities. think about when your baby goes down for a nap...does she go to bed early? is there a time of day when she'll play good by herself in a playpen or something. i know it seems hard but i know ya'll will figure something out. FYI: my son hasn't always been like this...just since he got sick bout 2 weeks ago.

Put the baby in a crib. If you have a "big house" as you indicate, you should have a nursery for her. If you continue to have the baby sleep in your room/bed she will become dependent on it and it will be even harder to break the habit the more you wait.

Try to get her to sleep in the crib. Put her in her crib and let her cry. Check on her after about 3 minutes and reassure her that she is ok then leave the room. Then let her cry and check on her after about 6 minutes and so on. After a couple of nights she will learn to sleep by herself. Now is the time to break her of the habit.

you are going to have to let that baby cry in its bed because i don't think you want a 6 year old in your bed. And if you keep the baby in bed with you it can die by suffocation.

When you Lil' girl falls asleep pick her up and move her to her bed...if she wakes up sit with her and run your fingers through her hair calming her, she should go back to sleep..being reassured that you are there. I use this with my 2 yr. old and my 1 yr. old works all the time! Good LUCK!

Let her sleep in your bed, and you 2 go somewhere else.

Put her in her bed.. Let her cry.. she needs to learn how to settle herself down.. This will be hard listening to her cry.. if it gets to bad.. pick her up and settle her down and try again.. don't give up or give in.. good luck

it just felt so natural to sleep with my babies. if you are trying to be personal, just go into the kitchen or bathroom. trust me, it is kinda exciting.
