I am a Christian man and earlier I posted some questions that gave some the impression that I hate gays and lesbians, which nothing can be further from the truth. Although, I don't approve of your lifestyles I still have much love for you. Just as it is my purpose to spread the gospel, it is also my purpose to show love for everyone regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation. So at this time I would like to offer my apology to anyone who misinterpreted my intent as being that of hatred. We live in a country that gives us the freedom to voice our opinions, and though our views may differ, it is always important that we learn to live together peacefully and love and respect one another. Peace be with you all. Are you with me?

Grumpy Fiend. I don't approve of fornication. Does that mean I hate people who fornicate?

Ah Poolshark. Do I make you nervous. Unfortunately as a Christian I have an obligation to spread the word of God. If you don't like my questions don't answer. I love you even though you don't see things my way. Why can't you love me despite not seeing things your way.

Tolerance is what we really need to practice. Unfortunately, some folks just cannot grasp it and their emotions overwhelm them. This causes them to express their dislike in a bad way rather then being civil and polite, or keep their console.

Respect is important. Thanks for your apology, and I'm sorry if you were misunderstood here. But truth be known, the question you posed was argumentative, and you chose as the best answer, one which labeled homosexuality as a mental illness. Who are you trying to kid with your sad story about respect, when this answer flies in the face of accepted medical science?

This particular forum is where a lot of gay and lesbian people who are struggling with real problems in their lives come for help. We are deluged daily with people who come here to tell us we are going to burn in hell. Would you truly knock on some body's door to tell them that? That is kind of what it feels like when you come here to spread your version of the Gospel.

I too am a Christian, and I have a different story to tell, one of unconditional love. I give that answer in return for the gloomy story you may have painted, but I don't come to you door to do so.

There is a religion section on Yahoo Questions, and perhaps your views would be more welcome there. Please understand that when you attack people on their own turf, even if you feel it is for their own good, you will receive a certain amount of backlash.

what ever your opinion may have been it was yours to make...

we all give our opinions here, regardless if others agree with them or not this is the real world, not a spot on TV, or a dream for some it may even be a nightmare...

your sensitivity is noted as well as your kindness and spiritual take on the lifestyle, many may share your views some may oppose them at any rate...

you're in-titled to what you feel as we all are, so don't apologize for how you feel.

LoOK DUDE.. what you want is some woman to cook and clean for you like in the 20's and such.. i read some of your last posts.. and guess what.. we are liberated.. and that is something you probably want changed now too.. not just that "gays" are coming out of the closet, but the fact that everything is changing.. and we are not "CAVE MEN" anymore...

You are quite right. Each individual should love and respect other people with all his heart, and let us leave the function of maintaining justice and order to the governmental institutions.
Christ said: My first commandment is love.
Baha'u'llah said:The best beloved of all things in My sight is justice.

I don't believe in voicing my opinions that may create controversy. But I believe in speaking the truth.Homosexuality is a forgivable sin,but if a person doesn't acknowledge it as one, then when you try to reason with them it comes across as if you are attacking them for their choice. So a word to the ignorant Peace!

well, christian man

what are you doing here in a section devoted to GLBTs? ... assuming you are not one of these, then you really have no business here ... we are not interested in your opinion, nor do we want you to "save" us ... i really don't care whether you love us ... the only person for whom that love you profess to have serves is you yourself ... because speaking from my own experience, i feel a whole lot better when i feel love for my fellow human beings than when i feel anything else

if you really love us, go back to your own little corner of yahoo! answers and leave us alone ... this section is for GLBTs to support and give each answers and information

How can you say you love us when you don't approve of our lifestyle? To love is to accept and to let us do what we do without question.

Would you prevent a fish from swiming?
Would you prevent a bird from flying?
