I am looking for converting to a particular resolution that is 100*100 dots per inch

not sure... but alternately you can copy and paste your image to "Paint" which is a free software for every window.. and then you could click "Save as" where you could choose the file type that you want.. if i am not wrong, there are "TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and others.. try it out..

IrFanView is a Graphic Viewer program. It has a batch conversion with image processing and supports tif files.

doesn't the document imaging software that comes with MS office/word do that? I know it lets you save scans into TIFF format at least...
