Well #1, I think most American Jews would find it very interesting to know that the US is controlled by Zionists. I'm sure that they don't feel that way. And of course it is not true. If it were, we sure wouldn't be debating the science of evolution.

The very simple reason for bombing Nagasaki was to prove to Japan that our first bomb wasn't a one shot deal. The Emperor Hirohito had not yet decided to surrender unconditionally. His advisors (incredibly) were not convinced that the US possessed any more of these atomic weapons. So whamo ...they wanted proof and they got it.

The numbers you cite are also a bit misleading. Certainly the number of dead and maimed was horrendous but in plain numbers it is not much higher than the death toll during the Dresden Fire Storm or the many firestorm bombings of Japan's cities.

Japan was not defeated or broken in their minds prior to the dropping of the bombs. The Japanese were the only army to really fight to the last bullet and completely to the death. After the slaughters of Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, we knew that any fighting on mainland Japan would result in a holocaust of death. The dead of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in fact saved the lives of so very many more people on both sides of the conflict and finally convinced Hirohito that the Empire of Japan must exist no more.

There are many people in the world today who believe that murder and terror are somehow legitimate political means...but they are not and murder is always murder and can never be elevated to something it is not.

There is precedent to fear us and those who would embrace terror as their bedfellow would be wise to reflect on the experience of the Japanese. To live by the sword is to one day die by the sword.

And it won't be a Zionist wielding it...

I would suggest that you stop the political language in your questions, unless you are trying to stir up hate and discontent. (like terrorists) The second bomb was dropped because there had been no formal or informal surrender by Japan. The rulers of Japan had to be convinced completely that we had both the will power and willingness to completely destroy their entire country. This is what terrorists are banking on, that we will not pull out all the stops and use the most extreme weapons in our US system to defeat them. When I see the mass riots or parades in the streets fo the various middle east countries, I would like to say get all allied forces out and nuke the place. And for the sake of us all, do not really piss the Israelis off, because they can do more than the limited amount of damage they have done so far.
