People have said their new LCD monitor came with "dead" pixels.

What do you see on your LCD monitor screen when a few pixels are "dead"?

Unless the dead pixels are adjacent to each other, you will probably not notice the small missing dots at all. If there are too many, especially close together, you will have dead spot(s) on the screen.

hi
getting dead pixel is clearly "ok" unless until its more than 4-5 and not in your viewing zone . if its in the corners it wont be a problem , but if it is on the centre .... if it is under warranty call the company support and replace it ... but no gurantee that the new will have the clear screen , it might have dead pixels tooo. he he he . dont worry call again and ask value for money.
dead pixels are complete "red" or "black " sometimes if you do a buzz on the monitor it goes away. buzz is something like refresh of monitor physical pressing two buttons on the LCD panel which should give u a vibrat like on the screen (earth quick ha ha ha) note: should not be done reguraly once in three months.

Back to the store it goes.

You don't "do" anything. except, perhaps, require the store clerks to power up the one they think they will palm off on you!

Bring a 5" magnifying glass, and check every part of the screen!
