The Preludes reign ended with the introduction of the 4th generation Acura Integra.

The Honda S2000 replaced the Prelude. Sales were slugging and at that time the car was "old". However, today many people still drive it; I'd like to see a modified one with a Nissan Skyline back . . .

When Honda started making the Accord Coupe, I guess they figured the two cars filled the same niche. I wouldn't be surprised if Honda started making the Prelude again in the next five years or so.

They ceased production of the Prelude for the same reasons they stopped making the CRX.

The answer to that still eludes me ...

i liked the prelude but the S2000 i would choose over the prelude. So far i have seen better sales in S2000 than preludes.

because they were not that popular cuz they were hella heavy FF cars. but dont worry they will start production of the prelude soon because they are ending the s2000 and the rsx models.

I dated a lady years in the past that had a Prelude for her first vehicle. certain, the are reliable vehicles- truly reliable if nicely maintained. besides the undeniable fact that, as long as you're to blame adequate now to not race it, i could recommend it as a first vehicle. insurance may be slightly intense reckoning on the style.

They ceased selling the car in the United States as it became a slow seller and it was no longer profitable to import it with all the US regulations for safety. They continued to make it, and will, perhaps, import or build a 'sexy' two-seater in the future.
