Goto the host PC.
Share the drive.
Goto your PC.
Open the menu Tools -> Map Network Drives.
Follow the mapping procedure.
You should be able now to see and access (if sharing/security was done correct) your media drive from your network and any application.

PS. Just incase, U said CD ROM, and u'r trying to play DVD? Not sure that would work friend.

G'luk.

OK. There are some times when we will insert a DVD disc into the rom. The computer might recognizeit but not WMP. Now try this. In the 'My Computer' folder, right click on the folder you want to play. Then go under 'Run in' or 'Run as' . Select WMP and see what happens. If not go into WMP and click on the 'Now Playing' button. (Much easier with WMP 9).

Go to the network host computer and enable file sharing. Should see it then. or right click on the file and hit "send to". then just follow the prompts.
