It's very rare to see a successful sports man who's intellectual, and most accomplished scientists doesn't care much about sports, What's your opinion?

There's only so much energy and brain power to expend, so guys have to make a choice.

Brains or muscles.

Do you really mean "intellectuality" or can you possibly be refering to some quality of mind which seeks to know rather than merely do?

Assuming you are not refering to intellectuals but to those who think, I have a theory.

Those with curious minds can instantly see that sports fandom is pointless. Who put which ball in what hole doesn't matter. Of course playing is fun, but fandom, actually getting 'involved' with it is the pervue of those who wish to turn their minds away from meaning. It is a distraction from introspection, filling the mind with statistics.

Ultimately, Sports fans hate the God of Philosophy. HA!! :-)
