Don't want to learn about Islam but wondered if this was true.
I mean they don't sound like that eating meat would bother their conscience.

Eating meat is allowed as long as it is halal (ceremonially killed; It is pretty much Islam's equivalent of Kosher.) However, Muslims cannot under any circumstances eat pork or pig bi products (or certain shellfish).

Muslims do eat meat, they just don't eat pork or pork products. Some of them also stay away from shellfish. Basically, they follow some of the dietary laws spelled out in the Old Testament of the Bible.

They eat beef, turkey, chicken, lamb, etc, just not the stuff it says to not eat the Bible.

Most Muslims eat meat, but they do not eat pork or shellfish. Vegetarian Muslims don't eat meat, I suppose.

They don't eat cows they believe they are ancestors reincarnated as cows therefore holy in their religion,so they think they are eating a relative.
