I heard someone say that they have married their commonlaw wife the christian way and wasn't sure if walking down the aisle was necessary.

I always believed that it was living in sin to live unwed. And commonlaw means to live with someone for a certain amount of time. Depending on where you are it differs where i am its one year plus a day

I just thought it was a little hypocritical to the christian beliefs and ways I didn't know you were allowed to make up your own rules. Does anyone agree
