The quarry is the Glensanda Superquarry which is operated by Foster Yeoman Ltd.

It is located on the Morvern peninsular and the quarry itself is located on the side of the mountain called Beinn Mheadhoin (which translates from Gaelic as Middle Hill - the Gaels weren't very imaginative when they gave names to many of the hills).

The UK grid reference of the quarry is NM813501 - it's approximately 22km / 14 miles north-northeast of Oban
