I don't know but I sure do miss those days. When I tune into a music channel I want to see music videos, not reality shows. I can take The Real World now and then, but it's like MTV and VH1 have nothing but reality shows. TRL sucks because they never show the whole video and they have fans talking in the middle of the songs. Not to mention its the same videos over and over again. I think this show should be once a week rather than every day. MTV went on air for the first time 9 days before I was born. So I grew up watching it and it has gone way down hill in my opinion. I say we all contact MTV and VH1 and demand they show less reality shows and play more music videos! That's what they're there for!

They spend too much time on reality shows and stuff like that. However, I'll admit; some of VH1's specials are pretty funny. I don't mind VH1 or MTV2 but, MTV has some shitty shows (except Parental Control; that's the only reality show worth watching)

i ask myself this question alot and the first thing i say would be what music would they play if they did. Music is too left field for me now adays and most of the videos when they are shown are of a bunch of girls who are shaking their rumps insync with hydrolilcs of a car. Its sad. Nobody really believes in the art of music anymore so why should they make any videos. Secondly MTV and VH1 sold out a long time ago and feel that everybody likes wierd entertainment instead of music.

mtv was a medium created to brainwash teenagers using music. eventually it evolved in a way to brainwash them by other means of entertainment since it makes more money that way.
its all about the benjamins.

I don't know, but it sucks, they only play music at like 3 in the morning. I am so sick of reality crap. Sorry I didn't answer your question I just needed to rant about it too.

I stopped watching MTV after they cancelled Daria. That was the ONLY good show they had, by far.

Cuz theyre fricken gay a ss hip hop fans and they know that no one will watch that so they stoop to reality t.v which, by the way is 10 times worse than hip hop

because its all about pop culture and reality tv...the only time you can see music on these stations is frm 4 am to 7 am and then there was fuse b4 they got mainstream now they are in the same direction as these two...sad

i'm sayin....... i never even see music videos all that much. how do they have the mtv music awards is another good question.
