I took my kids to the circus a few months ago, and I noticed many of the smaller younger children were terrified when up close to the clowns..(at the preshow you could meet the clowns) but enjoyed them from far away.. I guess they are not a part of every day life to a small child. Maybe some people never outgrow that!

Is nothing wrong with that, many peeps are.
If you are really afraid to an unstable level maybe you should seek counseling.
It really could be something from your childhood, and the thought of someone in a disguise could be so unsettling that it would benefit you to get help.
Again, everyone has a fear, but if it gets in your way then seek help definately.

I'm desperately afraid of clowns..and I'm 26 years old. LOL. I also can't stand the porcelain dolls! They freak me out too!!!!

My daughter is very afraid of clowns. She saw IT years ago and she was terrified.

Not me. I love clowns, especially the one right above me:)
But not in a creepy way, as in a friends kind of way.

how can u be afraid of clowns?? there just ppl who wear lot and lots of make-up and wear these funny clothes! and there very wierd.... they try to make u laugh but really i just laugh because there doing stupid stuff....
