I was wondering the same thing myself. There are families right here in America that are losing their houses, can't feed their families, etc. The economy is bad because all this money is going overseas, and not being spent right here in America!

The world revolves around debt, so to some extent debt is good. If Reagan, Clinton and Nixon could clear up the debt, so Bush would be able to too if we weren't drawn into wars. But, wars keep inflation down and keep people working and having income...so there is not always bad things coming out of owing, debt and war.

When the situation in Iraq started, our President warned us there would be consequences and did we still want to go in there and help Iraq, and we said yes, do it.

It's a fact that poverty will never be solved....there is a reason that there is poverty.

There are, however, people arguing for the rights of the poor, and there are programs in place. One of the problems of the poor is that they can't get to the assistance.

We give to other countries when they have tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, devastation to show we are good neighbors, to show we have compassion, so that when we are in need other countries will help us out, and to keep other countries from being down on us.

Our poverty doesn't compare to other country's poverty. We have an obligation to UN charitable organizations. Not that I don't agree with you on many levels. I'm just not sure what's the best answer to this. I know you haven't gotten it in the answers. We can't turn our back on real poverty (as in starving to death, not I can't have cable TV). This isnt' Bush's fault, that's ridiculous and incredibly nonproductive. It's always been done. It's hard to find the right thing. It really is. And it's hard to be a country that doesn't want to be seen as "racist". It would help if we didn't care.

America needs money not only to pay off its huge debts, but also to address the chronic and acute social problems. Millions of Americans live below povery line, the health care system is in shambles, the educational system is severally lacking, yet the men in power chose to squander US resources on the gang of Nazi war criminals in Israel. First get rid of the Jewish grip on the media, politics and finance. America would be much better off and the world a more peaceful place.

It is only giving to Israel for carrying out its global terrorism. It is doing so because USA is the most obedient slave servant of Israel. Israel even killed 34 USA marines in USS Liberty and USA presdient could nto dare to rescue Americans! The Papa Bush did nto dare to hold the ceremony for USS Liberty survivors in open. Israel is sucking USA Tax payers money under gun as it controls USA business, courts, media, political parties and church. On Sharon's direct order USA attacked Afganistan and Iraq. So poor USA soldiers are dying for Israel. Israel also attacked Lebanon using its agent Hezbollah as WMDs and 9/11, an excuse to attack.
