Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.

Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.

Well, I can't honestly answer how this match would fare in a romantic pairing, but I can tell you my experience as a Cancer sun with Capricorn moon & rising.

My guess would be that these two would ground each other out. Cancer is very moody & emotional, and Capricorn is more practical, reserved & cerebral. I think they might get along fine as long as the oversensitive Cancer doesn't take Capricorn's sarcasm too seriously.
