He has ALS and there's no cure. I've seen several vibrant active people get this and turn to mush in a matter of months. It's not miserable. Imaging being trapped in a useless body but fully aware. We're lucky Hawking still has his mind to bring us great ideas.

Cause he rolls! That is harsh! Human babies are very smart (they learn an incredible amount of info in a short time). They can not walk either.
Some folks say whales and dolphins are smart they can not walk either.
Personally I do my best thinking on my *** or lying down!

He is suffering from multiple scelorosis.this affects the muscles of the body due to which nerves bones also get affected.It is a neuro problem.For nero problems there is no good cure in allopathy.Now many r resorting to ayurvedic as it can control atleast.

well doucheclown, your mother seems to have been gifted with the forsight you were not... if you're so smart, then why can't you see into the depths of the magnetic field of your typical black hole and predict the total mass involvement required to eject xrays? if it would be morre simple for you, try to guess the answer in terms of 'how many (of our sun's) solar masses'.

He has ALS. He says he tries to lead as normal a life as possible and not think about or regret what he can't do.
