The print when i go to print is smudged and not legiable at all. but when i print in color the color is faded because my color ink jet is low but my black inkjet is full. keep in my mind it has been awhile since i have last printed anything from my computer. your help in solvin this matter is greatly appreciated. Go to www.epson.com. When you get into a place where you can search (after selecting your continent and country), type in your model number. C44U doesn't come up in a USA search, but C44UX does. Are you sure you typed the right model number?
Anyway, after you locate your printer on that site, you can go to a place where you can download the product manual. The manual will tell you how to clean the head.

go to your5 printer properties .... maintenance.... print head cleaning .. try it once twice .. till you get back your lovely colors ...
