Ping the site. In windows open up a command window by going to the Start Menu -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
Then type "ping URL" for example to get yahoo's IP address
ping yahoo.com
and the following will be returned...
Pinging yahoo.com [66.94.234.13] with 32 bytes of data:

Assuming you are running windows
click start->run-> type cmd
on the window that opens type nslookup
This will give you the ip address of the site
