The FDA, and the USDA have a standard for the amount of blood allowed in milk. Is there blood in your milk? Yes. All non-organic milk available from all major dairies in the US contain blood. How does the blood get in the milk? The dairies shoot the cows full of RBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone), which makes the cows produce milk, even though they are not pregnant or nursing. The cows produce so much milk, because of the hormones that they must be milked five to ten times daily, as opposed to the healthy amount of twice daily. The over milking makes the teats sore, raw and bloody. The blood is extracted with the milk, so it is impossible to separate out. I used to work for a commercial dairy, and have visited hundreds nation wide. This happens in every dairy in America that is non-organic. How do they make it white? They bleach the milk to alleviate the pink colore the blood gives it. So what percentage of your milk is blood? Up to 20%. Most dairies being on the high end at 19%.

Wrong, blood is not in the milk, blood gets sucked from the teat and mixes with the milk. Pasteurized or not, it is not a question of cleanliness.

I haven't drunk milk since I was kid and even then my parents didn't have alot of money and we had to drink the powdered milk and it smelled really bad like barf, I don't see why people would want to drink something that comes out of an animal's body anyway gross!!!

thanks for the info. I *replaced into* conscious that milk is particularly a lot made out of mucus. Ever word after eating a pitcher of milk contained in the evening (and having no longer something to devour or drink in a while to dilute it/wash it down) the way you awaken contained in the morning with too much mucus on your mouth? that is at the same time as i finished eating milk. the info about the blood has further solidified my selection! I now drink soy "milk". that's infinitely in good structure, has a reliable style and texture (I choose vanilla flavored), and it elements many, if no longer all, of the mandatory amino acids we want. (i'd be incorrect about that very last fact. Tofu, besides the undeniable fact that, does furnish all the mandatory amino acids we typically get from pork). suited desires!

Milk is made from cow blood. The only time you get raw blood in the milk is just after the cow delivers her calf. A few days after that, the milk is free of raw blood and is safe to drink. Also, you must remember that commercial milk is pasteurized to insure it is clean.

Actually, I'm a vampire, so I don't even waste my time drinking "milk," I just go for pure, 100% blood. Tastes better, anyway.
