I didn't get a positive until I was late, but then again I didn't WASTE my money on the EPT test to take BEFORE the period. Why take it and then get your period?

Doctors don't like the early at home tests because some women mourn over a lost child because they took the test 5 days before their missed period and got a positive just to get thier period a few days late and assume a misscarrage. They said if it hadn't been for that test most women would just think their period is a little late no big deal, but because of the test some women mourn over a miscarrage that should really have been ignored.

I wait until I am at least a week late before I even start THINKING about buying a pregnancy test because I am not wasting my money because mother nature is running behind and I am thinking that my PMS syptoms are pregnancy symptoms (they are just about the same).

Just my advice, don't buy a test until you are actually late, save the money and spend it on the baby for when you DO get pregnant!!

I took a test that cost a dollar too--actually i took $5 worth of them---and i am 14 weeks pregnant. I found out when i was about 8 weeks. But with my first son i was only 2 weeks when i found out and it was a cheap test too. I think it just depends on how high your HGC level is--if you are pregnant it will show up.. if you don't start in a few days..take another one.---i waould give it at least a week after your period is supposed to start.

You could have used a very expensive test and it probably would not show a pregnancy 3 days early. A blood test is the only thing that would accurately pick up a pregnancy at this stage. Wait at least until the day your period is supposed to start and buy an EPT. Good luck!

Yes the test can be right..When I thought I was pregnant, I took several 1 dollar tests and it turned out they were right so don't worry about it until you are really late.

Those tests are not always correct and that's why you should always check with a doctor just to make sure you are or you are not pregnant.

Spend the money on a well known brand. If you can't afford a pregnancy test, then you can not afford a baby.

There is only one brand of pregnancy test proven to tell if you're pregnant before you get your period, and you can't buy it at the dollar store....yes, you could still be pregnant.

Yes, false negatives are possible, but false positives are not. You may not have enough HCG concentration in your urine yet. Wait until the day after you due date and perform another test first thing in the morning.
