also, what's a good sound card?

they must be compatible w/ sony vaio rx550.

Nearly every video card that's roughly $100 will be able to handle those games easily. If you have an AGP slot, get an ATI X1600 Pro. If you have a PCI-E slot, get an nVidia 7600GS. Both are roughly $100.

get a older nivida or ati card they are good cards and fairy cheap
