That's right in the middle. I tutored for $20/hour, but that was because I was friends with them, and they were a family in the church, etc. I've heard of other people I know charging upwards of $40/hour. I think what you are charging is a very reasonable and affordable price, without cheating you out of what you are worth. Very good middle ground, if I do say so myself.

The rate you charge often depends upon lots of factors.... not the least of which is where you live? I live in the northeast US and charge $45 per hour and $25 per half hour for tutoring. Big education-for-profit companies such as Sylvan and Huntington cost this and even higher, and do not even offer 1:1 tutoring ratio. But your area might be different. Look into the rates these bigger companies near you are charging, and that will help you make a better decision.

Having said all of that...... you also need to consider if you have commuting costs, take-home paperwork, or fees for materials. And don't forget to include your experience as a teacher or tutor, along with your credentials and expertise in the field. All of this figures into the amount you will ultimately charge for your services.

It is a fair price for you, and the parents are getting a good deal compared to what they would pay for private tutoring at a place like Sylvan Learning Center.

It depends on where you live. I live in Oklahoma and 25.00 an hour is an appropriate rate. But if you live in a large city in another state, a higher rate is acceptable. I believe anybody who is an excellent teacher should charge comparably for her expertise in providing a service to students.

It's the standard rate where I am. Since you'll have a masters, you could probably get away with charging more (but not if you're in a low-income area).

it really depends on how often you will be working with the child. If you will be working everyday, two or three times a week, I would go a little less (maybe $15-$20). however, if you will only be with the child for maybe once a week for an hour or two, that rate would be ok.
