1. Win Xp already has drivers for USB 2.0
2. If driver does not work, it is probably a hardware problem.

the manufacturer of the computer will have the updated driver needed to update your usb to 2.0, not all come pre-shipped that way,

go to your manufacturer's website, and get the usb2.0 driver, download and install it.

your motherboard usually comes with an installation cd, in there are the drivers for ur usb
