Hi Chaly, With the signature of a parent you can. The young man you plan to marry must be 21 or he'll need a signature. When you go for the marriage license take a parent(s). Why are you seeking to be a wife before you have developed mentally and spiritually. You have to be ready for the adult world you are about to embark upon. Marriage is not only a legal way to have sex, but it is you and your spouse making a committment to provide for each other. When there are children you have got to provide all of their needs as well. Is anyone employed and have a place for you two to live. If you plan on living in the house with someone else you may as well wait. Right now you are the responsibility of your parents and they have to provide for you. Go to college and make yourself a product of society you can be proud of. People need you and you can be valuable. You may not see or understand this now cause marrying is what you want to do. At 17 and 10 months you haven't gone to all of the concerts or parties of shopped or traveled, or done all the things you want to do yet. Beside you haven't met all the boys you need to meet so that you can choose a husband. He does't have to be like Barack Obama, but you deserve a guy that will make you a proud wife and you make him a husband. This guy will not be your boss he'll be your husband if you marry. Is he ready to give up his homies and the hotties and doing the things boys his age do. You should give more thought. A wedding is not a ceremony and then a party. It is a life long committment and when you get mad you can't storm out of a room or sham doors you will have to deal with the problem. If you marry and find a place the rent on the Southside, Westside, Northside or the Maywood is so expensive you will have make lots of money. Even CTA is costing more to ride. All I say is put your dreams of being a wife on hold for now. You don't really know what you'll be stepping into all you know is that you want to do it. Right now is not a good time to be a Chi-town Bride. Your day will come
