My dad died when I was 12 and his favorite saying to me was for me to hold my horses . Flash forward maaannnyy years later and I had 2 children of my own. My youngest, 6 at the time, was impatiently waiting to go somewhere and I gave him that look and he looked me square in the eyes and said "yeah I know hold my horses" I have never said that to my children simply because it reminded me too much of my dad. I looked at him and asked where he heard that from? He replied from grandpa. I asked which grandpa? He told me this one and pointed to my dad. As I'm about to pass out, he tells me he told him that a few days ago while he was playing outside and he was going to chase a ball across the street but heard grandpa yell at him to "hold his horses" and looked up and he was standing there. He stopped and a car hit the ball. He was too afraid to tell me before cause he didn't want to get into trouble for going after the ball. But I guess in all actuality my dad saved his life.

I don'r personally believe in 'Ghosts', but my dad has told me and my siblings stories from his childhood that have creeped us out.
He grew up in West Virginia in the hills and mountains area on the border near Ohio. Anyways, my dad would tell us that when he was a kid that he lived in a house where there were lots of rocks on the roof. His dad (my grandpa) told him to go on the roof one day and toss all the rocks off onto the ground and if he didn't do it that he'd get a spanking. So my dad went up there and tossed all the rocks off one by one and it took him about an hour to get them all off. That night he went to bed. In the morning, my grandpa was leaving for work and every one of the rocks was back on the roof. Noone could have possibly gotten all the rocks back onto the roof without being heard. Noone knows how the rocks got back up there, especially my dad who got a spanking because my grandpa didn't believe that he had spent an hour taking them all off.
There are a few others he told too involving rotting peaches, footprints on wet floors with closed doors, flying coat hangers and mysterious lights and sounds near old railroad tracks. My dad and all of his siblings sure seem to think all of the weird stuff that happended was something real.

2 years ago. my 2 friends and i were down in Georgia about 20 miles from savanah .. i dont remember the name of the town, but we stayed the night at this cheap motel on our way to vacation at key west florida.

Over the corse of the night my friend woke me and the other guy up saying he saw people in our room, he described them as 3 big guys wearing overalls. that they came into our Room walked over top me (since i pulled the short straw and was sleeping on the floor) and went into the Bathroom and shut the bathroom door. So of corse my heart started racing because this kinda crap always scared me.. but all 3 of us went back to the Bathroom and opended the door.. no one was there. So we all went back to sleep, me cursing my friend for lying like that scarring the sh** outta me. The next day we were checking out of the hotel and my friend asked the front desk guy if anyone ever complained of weird noises are anything. the guy said laughing oh you met Jacob and the twins. Me i started paying very close attention at this point because i looked at the whole thing as my friend playing some kind of sick joke on me. Then the front desk guy told this story of how the hotel was built on a big plantation estate that was torn down years ago and that back in the 1890's there was a Man named jacob and his two boys (twins). The Man supposedly was insane and was prone to drinking heavily. He ended up killing himself and his two sons on this plantation where he was a farmhand. My Friend who saw these apparations then says to this guy "well were they big men that wore overalls and the father have a heavy beard and one of the other always wear a straw hat?" ...

...thats when things got really quiet and weird. and i could tell that this guy was sizing my friend up and was looking a little weirded out. and said that he thought it was only a story... and NO ONE has ever seen these ghosts.. and then said that he'd be right back he wanted to show us something. He came back with an old photograph of a Man and 2 grown boys. they wore suits in this photograph but the older one.. the father had a heavy beard and the one boy was wearing a straw hat..

...we couldnt get out of there fast enough as far as i was concerned

I don't want to use thee term "haunted", but we have been "visited" many times in the last few years by our 15 year old daughter who died of kidney failure in 1999. The first was after the funeral, because I was so depressed, I did not clean the house for several days and noticed a pair of her sneakers in the corner of the kitchen I could not make myself put away. 3 days later,I was doing dishes and caught movement out of the corner of my eye. One of the sneakers was levitating and hovering about a foot off the floor. When I saw it clearly, it dropped down. I think she was telling me to put it away. A few years later, I was reading in bed one night and all of a sudden all the covers flew off the bed. Freaked out, I ran out into the living room to find my husband gasping in his arm chair having a heart attack..She was telling me to GET UP (I called 911 and he survived). This last Christmas was the 6th Christmas since she died and we did not put her stocking up with the rest. On Christmas morning, while opening up our stocking gifts, her picture flew off the wall and broke. She was MAD. This Christmas the stocking goes up with the rest!!! It has not been scary, at times I feel her holding my hand at night if I've been upset. I hope she visits more often.

Before we lived here, we moved to a house which was brand new, but strange things happened in it, such as, at night I would hear little kids voices as though they were playing outside my bedroom window, but no one was out there. Also, my daughter was 6 then, and said one day when I was outside, she reached for a glass in the kitchen cabinet, and said it was to high, and to far within her reach, when it started moving toward her hand, and she got it! I know she did not make that up, because other things happened, like the time my dog was tied outside, and it started to rain, and the back door opened on its own, and my German Shepherd walked right in! Also, one night the temperature dropped quite a bit outside, and we had the windows opened, and the next morning I went in my sons room to close his window, and it was closed. I couldnt beleive he actually got up and closed it himself, because thats not like him! He told me he never closed the window!! Then one night I was done taking a bath, and was getting ready to come out of the bathroom, when the door suddenly started opening very slowly. I thought my husband was playing a game, and I grabbed the door to see him, and to my surprise, there was no one there! Later, I went down to the public library to see what kind of history happened in our area at one time. I was surprised to find out that their had actually been indian wars in that region, and many indians were killed! I dont beleive anyone was ever trying to hurt us, if anything it was more like they were trying to help us. We know the people that live in that house now, and they never mentioned anything ever happeining, so I dont say anything either!!
