I do agree with you that alot of people these days are shallow, selfish, and all caught up in their lives but do not judge all the wonderful people in this world by a few shallow people. I think that in this day and time alot of people are full of themselves because of anxiety and stress. They act shallow or arrogant to mask their small lives and anxiety.
Go make a difference yourself and ignorant them. Look for and fill your world with good, intelligent, God loving people.

I think many people are too busy thinking about how the world relates to them and they spend less time trying to relate to the world.
