My mom took me to some hillbilly hell "beauty shop"and got me a perm when I was 10,well I have that lovely Native American hair,it reacted wrong and I looked like a tan Little orphan Annie!Still need therapy for the harassing,5th graders are so cruel!

My native American hair doesn't perm. I can get one and the next day it's falling out. I think our hair isn't meant for perms. Mine was around 10 I had my hair cut. It was pass my butt and real pretty. I got it cut all the way up to my ears. I didn't ask for it to be cut that short but the lady cut ALL my hair off. Then a few years ago my mom begged me to let her bleach my hair. So I finally gave it. It took 6 boxes of born blond and my hair was Orange red! It was BAD and I had to have my hair cut and bleached again. It felt like hay by the time they got it done....

Wow...had a similar experience. I had waist length hair and my grandma took me to the salon to get a trim. When I left the building I looked like a mini version of her. Short hair with a tight curled perm. I looked exactly like Chunk from the Goonies. It was absolutely terrifying, I shudder to think back on it. The 80's were not kind to me.

OMG...now that i remember this HELL....i was 10 (also), had the eighties bangs from the front of my forehead half way back to the back of my head thing going on...and then the rest was to my shoulders.
i had to curl my HUGE bangs..until it looked like a guinea pig was nesting on my head...then i took out the old crimping iron!! ha ha!!! and crimped my @ss off! OH and i had the crimping plates that had the stars and heart designs.
and of course i looked oh so 80s sheik with my half ponytail and poofy bangs. hair in a florescent colored scrunchie (one with beads and dangle charms on it)..big oversize button up shirt over stirrup pants and HIGH TOP converse sneakers in Turquoise!
ha ha ha! omg..and my EVIL mother has photographic PROOF of this 80s hair night mare and wardrobe melt down.
i look back at that and think..." WHY in the WORLD would we ever think this looked cool?"

I had someone cut my bangs and not only did they cut them too short (about one inch above my eyebrows) but it was also at an angle. I had to wear a hat and a headband (alternating) for two months. My friend and I have a strained relationship now.

i just dyed it black yesterday and it looks pretty bad.
probably the worst though was in 3rd grade i got my bangs cut the night before picture day. the guy that cut my hair did it in like 5 minutes and i didn't notice until i got the pictures back that they were really really screwed up. he missed a huge chunk on the side. lol.

Bangs cut a little above my eyebrows.... My hair is very straight, so it had no style or volume. Was hideous.
