I just graduated high school, class of 2015. I was not around in the 80s, but I think it was pretty accurate in general, I went to high school in California, and I knew a lot of kids that were somewhat similar to the characters in Fast Times. There were the douchy, popular kids like Brad Hamilton, there was a small stoner crowd like Jeff Spicoli's, there were the whorees like Linda and Stacey, there was that one cocky guy who gave terrible advice like Mike Damone, etc. It wasn't extremely accurate, but I see it as relatable, especially if you went to high school in California.

Maybe accurate if you had gone to school in Southern California in the 80's. I went to school in North Carolina in the 90's. My high school experience was the exact opposite of "Fast Times", which is probably why I LOVE that movie.

Yes to a certain degree. I went to high school in the 80's and it was a rich kid school. All the clicks were there for sure, you had the stoners(me), jocks, brains, preps, nerds, and nobodies.

I love the 80's and I think it was pretty accurate! Great movie , I own it on DVD>

to an extent it was. I think there were more sex than drugs, but it depended on what clique you were in! Gotta love Spicolli!
