I can ask the same question: "Why are ___ people so mean?". Just fill in the blank. It is not limited to white people. All people at one time or another exhibit less than desirable behavior. But do not lump all people in the same basket.
Are all Mexican people here illegally? I think not. But if there is an illegal alien problem in MO, and you look the part then you may also receive unjust treatment even if you are here legally.
We are a nation of law. We for the most part follow rules in our society. People who traditionally immigrated to the USA also took on our traditions, loyalties, and ways. They learned the language and to communicate well enough to function in society daily. In short, they too became "American" as US citizens understand it.

Where did you go in Missouri? Missouri has alarge Mexican population and to tell you the truth ,I don't think I have heard anything bad.here.
Perhaps it was your attitude? Maybe you were expecting bad things to happen,and took offence when you shouldn't.
Maybe they were staring because they liked the way you look.

Sweetie, let me put it to you this way. Many white people are mean wherever you go, not just in Missouri. Since you did ask the question, Missouri is in the mid-west where "these corn fed idiots grow up and join the KKK."

Not all white people in Missouri are mean. I don't know what city you went to but alot of Missouri is full of wonderful , hometown, funloving people. Missouri is my state and I want to apologize for those that were mean to you. They give our wonderful, picturesque state a bad name.

To class a group as mean is sort of stereotyping. I have been to Missouri several times and never found people to be mean. All people of all colors from everywhere can potentially be mean. it is sort of ridiculous that anyone would post this.

I never been to Missouri, so I wouldn't know. You should go to St. Louis, I don't think you'd get so many stares, it's more diverse.

i live in Missouri and i am not mean to people regardless of what color they are, everybody gets bad looks everywhere.
