There's nothing wrong with protecting what's yours. You're just protecting yourself from being mooched on.

There's nothing wrong with sharing, either, so long as you're sharing because you want to, not because you feel like you're expected to. If you don't feel like sharing now, that's OK. That doesn't make you a bad person or anything. Just be aware that we live in a reciprocal society, and people tend to live the reverse of the golden rule; that is, people tend to treat others as others treat them. So don't be surprised if you find that people don't want to share with you. But if you're OK with that, that's fine.

First thing you need to realize is that ALL human beings are born with selfishness in them. It is just human nature for one to protect their territories or belongings to survive. I am confident to say that probably 99% of the population are selfish..but there's a degree of selfishness. Most people are selfish about the ones they love, that's why there's jealousy.
In your case, I think you are being overprotective. If you are not confident enough to believe that you can live without any sacrifices from other people for the rest of your life, then I think you need to sacrifice for other people before having people to sacrifice to you.

The things you mentioned are all materialistic things, as you grow older you will realize there are things and emotions in life that are much much greater than your car, radio, clothes..etc. If you are willing to sacrifce your feelings or time, then I think you are generous.

I personally is more selfish on my time, I would rather give a person $100 than waste 3 hours of my life. But i guess i need to change some bit...

Yeah u r selfish because all those things r materialistic and u could always buy another of 1 of those. When u start letting people use some of ur stuff u will grow out of it. Because u kno if 1 of ur friends have 1 of the things u have they would have let u borrow it. U have to come out of being selfish or else ur gonna get bad karma

u definitely like ur stuffs in tact that is together and its wonderful.but u also need to realise that u r not alone in this world,u need to share.
someday u might be in serious need of something but nobody might be willing tohelp.
so sharing is a good thing, try to learn to do it.but dont stop being the person that leave ur things in order.

Probably a little too attached to material things, and a little too cold towards people, relatively speaking. Most of us would rather please the people around us than preserve our material goods in pristine order.
