How do you fix that since now even the lowliest jobs want more experience, and you can't get experiece unless you've been hired in the first place. And I've lost contact with a lot of people so I'm not really in a position to ask for references.

just use your neighbors for reference or former teachers, maybe that will help. But always ask to use them before you do it:)

Use your college as a references and say you volunteered alot. Make it look sexy on paper.
