I absolutely detest anything that makes more noise than necessary. A real performance car doesn't need loud pipes or doof doof music that you can hear for three city blocks. I mainly detest BIG 4WD's on huge tyres, jacked up suspension and loud pipes that have never been out of the suburbs and mainly used to pick up the kids at school.

There are several different cars that cost less than $12,000. I have rented several of these cars from various rental agencies.

Recently I rented the Chevrolet Aveo. What a piece of junk! You have to open a drawer in front of the driver's left knee to get to a button to open the trunk. That drawer was open when I bumped it with my knee. It didn't hurt my knee at all so I know that I didn't hit it hard, however, the drawer absolutely disintegrated. I was literally picking up the pieces of it off the floorboard, or at least, what pieces I could remove. There were several other pieces that were still hanging there, rubbing against my knee as I drove.

It amazes me that the same company that makes the Corvette makes an absolute, diametrically opposite piece of junk such as this. Chevrolet needs to balance out this lineup. If GM goes out of business (and many people think that it will), they can't stand around scratching their heads and wondering why. It is because the quality of their cars (other than the Corvette) is terrible. There's no wonder the Europeans and Asians have been trashing American cars lately, it's because they don't cut corners in the construction of their cars, they treat their customers very well, they have great follow-on customer care, they actually spend money in the R&D of their cars, they don't platform share, they don't use parts-bin parts from other makers, even if related, etc. I could sit here and write all day long about the horrible state of the U.S. auto industry.

The U.S. auto industry is a lot like K-Mart. K-Mart used to be the biggest thing going, they were on top of the market, they had a monopoly. But then came along Wal-Mart, whose quality was a little better, who had more appealing stores, better prices, and a better overall image. Instead of competing with Wal-Mart, K-Mart just rolled over on its back like a dog while Wal-Mart stomped all over it. Similarly, U.S. car makers, with the exception of Chrysler, have all just sat there and watched the European and Asian car makers stomp all over them. They haven't even tried to compete. They haven't even tried to make their product better than the Europeans or Asians. Chrysler has made a niche market out of offering vintage styled cars, but that stilt could snap at any moment if people get tired of this and Chrysler at that point would have very little to fall back on. European and Asian car makers have carved their niche with quality, innovation, the desire to be better, etc. It is as though American car makers have accepted defeat before they even tried to compete. When they do compete, it is with a very small number of their cars, such as the Dodge Viper, the Chevrolet Corvette, and the Ford GT, the only three American cars that even begin to compete at any level compared to European and Asian counterparts. What a shame.

Call me crazy... but I think I would have to say SUVs. I say crazy because I own one and actually 'love' it (it's a Lexus RX300). The whole concept and idea of SUVs is just wrong and has not place in America really. It's generally for people who have an inferiority complex and can't control their anger. I prefer minivans actually. They're more fuel efficient, fit more people, hold more luggage, and are more comfortable to drive.

Anything that's a giant SUV blocking me whenever I drive. But mostly I think Hummers are the most unnecessary cars/ trucks on the road.

Zooped up wanna be cars that have only had body work done and no engine revamp. It's like a well wrapped piece of crap. Very disappointing. They're only for people who crave attention.

Those HUGE SUV's that take up two parkings spots and stick out over the end of the space, and have to have a huge wide turning radius

I would have to say Scion. I'm apalled by their dorky, geek like appliance-box so-called styling. I give an involuntary head shaking and eye-roll every time I see one. Prooves people will buy anything and have no taste.
