I work in an automotive center and people have the dumbest questions and if they would look in their manual they wouldn't have to ask the dumb question!
Is it just easier to have someone else read it for you or do they just not understand the manual because things are so much more complicated now days?

Because some of us ONLY buy used cars, and there is rarely a manual with them.

For one thing, there're way too many manuals for everything nowadays. Second, if they're at all like me, maybe they have problems following instructions. I know for myself, my brain turns off as soon as I see a manual and my eyes go awry because I can't focus on the words.

sometimes maybe people just don't have the manual ..

we have owned 3 cars and none of which had the manual .. go to the library and way to many books on car repair..

go to an expert, that's what their there for ;)
