I Have studied accounting in Montreal. I can't help you a lot, but I did a project on Mac's. The company is called couch-Tard in Quebec and they bought Dunkin' Donuts Quebec's section in late 2003. They decided to keep the name as it was already known. So basically DD in Quebec is acquired by Mac's. they also bought 1600 circle K in U.S. So, if you need to know more about this, the story ends up in Mac's convenience stores.hopefully this helps.

What I've been told is that Tim Horton's hadn't really infultrated Quebec (not like, say, in Ottawa where there is one on every corner), while Dunkin Donuts was not only willing to set up shop there, but to advertise in French with Quebecois actors. If it is any consolation, we barely have any Dunkin Donuts in the entire state of California.

Like the person above said, dunkin donuts is owned by couche tard, and since couche tard is a successful dep chain, it could afford to keep the dunkin donuts open, despite its competitors, like Tim Hortons...
I dont know how the Kripsy Kremes in Ontario operate, but here they are annexed to Petro Canadas. The stand alone ones have closed down.

I'm not sure...all I know is Dunkin Donuts aren't that good. ( just my opinion). I went to a Dunkin Donuts in Montreal in the early eighties and it didn't impress me....It is wierd that I have never seen them anywhere else in Canada though.

Is it the coffee or the donuts you're addicted to?? I don't understand why you are asking about donuts when you are looking for coffee! By the way, whatever happened with that whole coffee and Wendy's fiasco? Or was it coffee and oil? I can't remember!

American donuts are deep-fried. They are not good for you. Also they contain far too much sugar.
Canadian donuts are baked and do not contain all of the artificial preservatives that American donuts do.
Personally, I prefer Tim Horton's. They are freshly baked, everyday.
