I'm almost 18. She is 29. She was my English teacher last year as well as my coach. I have a crush on her; however, she is married and I'm not homosexual. I just really enjoyed her company last year, and would like to keep in touch with her now that I'm going away to college. I would like to be her friend. She emailed me to congratulate me on my AP tests scores, and we talked about me visiting her at school. Now she emailed me and asked me and another friend out to lunch. Is that okay? How can I develop a friendship with her, as well as get over this crush? Thank you in advance for your answers!

Of course you should go out to lunch with her! You have made an important friend, and this woman obviously wants to keep in contact with you as well. I'm guessing the 'crush' you've mentioned isn't necessarily of a sexual nature, but more of an attatchment to a person who has made an impact in your life. That happens to everyone.

So accept her invite and do keep in touch with her. She can give you valuable advice through your college years and make a great reference once you start looking for jobs. Not to mention a great friend. Don't worry about the feelings you have for her; just focus on enjoying your time with her.

Have a blast in college; it's definately going to be some of the craziest years of your life. Nothing quite like it... ;-) Good Luck

I would go out to lunch with her. Notice she did ask you and "another" friend to go, so I think she might be trying to make it clear to you that it is nothing more than a meeting to keep in touch, otherwise she would have asked you and you only to come. As for the crush, Im sure it will fade away when you go away to college. Good Luck!

It's lunch. She is not seducing you. She wants to be freinds, find what you have been doing.
Going out to lunch with her will also cure your crush.
