I had a baby almost a year ago (September 4th) I have had 3 periods. My first period was April 15th (I was on the pill at this time) 2nd period was May 15th (still on the pill at this time) I went off of the pill because it was making me feel terrible and just thought I would use condoms for Birth control My last period was June 28th. When I am not on the pill I have a 40 - 50 day cycle (I am pretty irregular, but also pretty fertile). My husband and I had sex about 5 days after my period w/o a condom (I did not think I would be fertile being my 10th day of my cycle and having a 40 - 50 day cycle). Well now I have been spotting lightly (mucus tinged w/ blood) for the past 4-5 days. Every once in a while I feel a little crampy. My breast are not tender and I feel great and full of energy. (I was tired and sick with my last 2 pregnancies.). I took a preg test on Sunday and it was negative. What is this spotting? Could I be pregnant. What else could this spotting mean.

spotting can also be some types of infections but it could be pregnancy and just too soon to tell because your "normal" cycle is so long.

My recommendation to you, is to shop for a being pregnant scan for her, simply to reassure you each that she's no longer pregnant. Because, if she's at the tablet, and you are utilizing condoms, then I believe you each are beautiful risk-free. She must pass see a gynocologist if she's having recognizing and lightweight bleeding since that might be a signal that whatever's no longer correct...down there...if you happen to get what i am announcing...good enough I believe you do. Hope this recommendation helped.

If it was negative, either you are not pregnant, or you tested too early. It does not sound like you tested too early though.

If you don't want to get pregnant, there is no "good" time to not use birth control. That's just silly.

Take another test.

you could buy a pregnancy test kit in the drugstore. you can test your urine for the presence of beta-HCG. if it is positive, then you're pregnant. if you are still in doubt or you want reassurance, consult a doctor. you could also request for a pregnancy test at a clinical laboratory.
