I don't know about the crazy part but my favorite female singer of all time is Grace Slick , lead singer with Jefferson Airplane/Starship. The first time I heard her sing, her voice just blew me away. Some others I love to listen to are Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell.
