I am interested in buying a rat. Does anyone know of any breeders in the tri-state area, I really want a Dumbo.

I'm afraid I don't, but definitely keep searching! I breed mice in ON, Canada, but I also have a couple rats- one of which is a black berkshire (mismarked) dumbo.
Rats really do make great pets, very social. My dumbo's name is Newt and I actually found her at a pet store. The only one. Even the staff liked her and she was always on one of their shoulder's when I went, I just had to have her. She's probably the friendliest rat I've ever had, I know she must have come from a local breeder.
