Hi, I did the Million Paws walk this morning in Darwin - my first one and I have to say that I was so impressed that so many dogs can be in such close proximity without any scraps, etc (at least not that I heard). I have a Kelpie and a Belgian Shepherd Malinois. The Malinois can be intimidating for people and dogs who don't know him. He does go up to dogs and I did tend to minimise this and I didn't know the other dogs and how they would react to him. He is still a pup really - mentally if not physically (14 months). My Kelpie can be a bit dominating and will approach other dogs in a somewhat dominating manner so I have to be careful with him. He is sociable but if the other dog is also dominant there can be trouble. He met his son again today - now 3 years old - and my Kelpie was fine but his son, also a dominant dog, didn't take kindly to his approach and we had to keep them apart. I was really pleased today as my Malinois is a tiny bit people shy and alot of people wanted to meet my Kelpie so the Mal also got to meet and greet some new people. Very good for his socialisation. All in all a great day and I am looking forward to next year, although hopefully my Mal's training will have progressed to the point where he doesn't pull quite so much on the walk. He is getting better but it was such an exciting day that he did pull more than usual.

plucking them doesn't hurt if you...

1) place an ice cube over the eyebrow for as long as possible to numb the skin.
2) use the right equipment - A really good mirror that magnifies really high and tweezers that were made for eyebrow plucking.
3) place a lotion with Alvera on afterwords.

it may hurt a little the first couple times but your skin will soon adjust to it. I pluck my eyebrows and it didn't hurt a bit after the first few times or so. Don't put on makeup right after you pluck because that will agitate the skin. And don't pluck the same day you plan on going somewhere the first couple times because your skin will turn pinkish.

Plucking isn't that bad, once you get used to it, it doesn't hurt anymore. Since you do already have fine brows, be careful and do not overpluck. You might want to try getting them professionally waxed at least once to get the shape right and then you can just maintain them. Good Luck.

Listen, it's like five bucks to get them waxed at the salon and they do a good job, only stings a little and only for a second. Take an antacid before you go in to keep the redness down (swear to god it works) and it's a HELL of a lot better than plucking.

Go get them waxed, check a hair salon not a professional place just one on the side of the street. It hurts alittle but not as much as plucking them

use a hair lightener like Jolen just under your actual eye brows then darken your brow above the brow bone with a color just a shade darker than your actual hair color it makes your eyes appear more clean looking and you dont have to tweeze or wax

Eyebrow waxing is one of the easiest ways to get rid of unwanted eyebrow hair. It is more expensive but you can get rid of most of the hair all at once. There may be strays you have to pluck though.

I would go have them waxed, you might try a taupe colored eye brow pencil to bring out the brow you do have, and taupe works for any hair color

for me it hurts like a thousand times more to get my eyebrows waxed so i would suggest plucking them. i cant handle the pain either so this is what i do...i numb them with ice first, and have my mom pluck them out while i hold my eyelid shut (yes i need my mommy). it hurts way less than doing it myself

before you pluck soak a cloth in hot water...or warm water i guess...and then apply it to you eyebrow. it will open up the pores and it will make plucking a lot less painful. also* get a magnifying mirror that helps to find the really small hairs.

its not bad at all.
