Periods are often irregular during the first few years after menstruation starts. It may take several years for the hormones that control menstruation to reach a balance. If you are not pregnant, other causes of missed or irregular periods include:
Excessive weight loss or gain. Although low body weight is a common cause of missed or irregular periods, obesity also can cause menstrual problems.
Eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia.
Increased exercise. Missed periods are common in endurance athletes.
Extreme emotional stress.
Travel.
Medications, such as hormonal birth control methods, which may cause lighter, less frequent, more frequent, or skipped periods.
Hormonal abnormalities, which cause fluctuating levels of the hormones needed to support menstruation.
Illegal drug use.
Problems with the pelvic organs , such as imperforate hymen, polycystic ovary syndrome, or Asherman's syndrome.
Breast-feeding. Many women do not resume regular periods until they have completed breast-feeding.
Personally I had VERY irregular periods and it wasn't until after I became a nurse and started researching the problem myself that I was diagnosed with PCOS. Polycystic ovary syndrome. You really need to see a Dr and have lab work and possibly an abdominal ultrasound done. My Dr put me on Glucophage to treat PCOS so it is manageable and I menstruate monthly now. Good luck.

Lucky girl... As a teen (I'm 30 now) I had 3 friends who had the same thing happen. It's apparently very common in teenage girls, and caused by irregular hormone levels. Have your parents make you an appt for a gynecologist (see my other posts for help w/ that anxiety), and in the meantime enjoy the freedom! The dr may want you to take birth control, not to keep you from getting pregnant as you are a "good girl", but to regulate your cycles. I had to do that at 16 b/c my cyles varied from 21 to 30 days month to month. ARRGGGHHHH! Imagine your period starting 2 weeks early one month and a week late the next... I ruined a few pairs of pants my jr yr of HS...

Breathe, basically take it undemanding. first of all if it extremely is your first 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, their isn't something to be nerve-racking approximately. Its definately primary. Its referred to as recognizing. once you get your first era, its definatly subject-unfastened to no longer have it primary, like various 28-30 days. Your physique is figuring it self out. it may take in to 2-3 each and every each and every now and then 4 or greater years to truly determine it out. For now, everywhere you bypass, i could take one in all those make up bag yet sufficiently huge to hold what ever you utilize. Tampons, Pads, Pantyliners etc., deliver alongside a pair of underware to so if it catches you by utilising shocked your waiting. additionally to any extent further, once you do get your era, get your individual calendar and mark on a daily basis which you initiate up and end. Dont complication on the subject of the time. this could basically help see whilst you're commencing off to start a cycle, like 5 days of a month and each 28 days. yet I wouldnt assume you in looking thats the way it may be. (basically an occasion) ultimate of success.

That sounds to me like a hormonal problem.
You should be tested for hormonal imbalance or for low levels of female hormons.
All in all that should be done by a specialist, either a gynecologist or an internist.
I think it's relatively easy to cure with external hormons but nevertheless this should be done by a specialist.
