Well, there are several ways to answer this question.
First, do you want to start from scratch, or work from a kit? If you want to work from a kit (the easy way), your best bet is to buy a kit either from a miniature store (if you have one around) or on-line (if not). These kits come with instructions. If the kit is old, as some of those on-line are, do not use the glue that comes with them. Use fresh wood glue, very carefully.
If you want to start from scratch, go to a local bookstore in the craft/hobby section and get books on making miniature furniture. Or check the links below for ideas, plans or places to get magazines or books or kits.
Finally, you can contact www.miniatures.org, which is the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, to see if there is a miniatures club in your area to meet with and learn new skills and make new friends.
