That would be me. I have some of the more fun songs on CD's and my girls and I dance all around the house to this type of music.

Yes, the early rock era was easily one of the most creative periods in recorded history. Those who claim to not like the oldies are paople who havn't listened to them enough to give them a chance. Conversely, I like a whole lot of modern music, too. Again, to appreciate it, you've got to give the modern music a chance as well. OK, I like every artist and style you mentioned above but be aware that a large part of my top faves are done by the so called "one-shot" artists. Here's a few absolutely great one-shot songs you should look for on Napster.com (Hunt for the song-clip on towerrecords.com if not on Napster).
Peanuts - Little Joe & the Thrillers
My Boy Lollipop - Millie Small
Open Up Your Door - Richard & the Young Lions
A Casual Look - The Six Teens
The Boy Next Door - The Secrets
The Martian Hop - The Ran-Dells
Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep - Mac & Katie Kissoon
Liar Liar - The Castaways

I do. I was born in 1974. I guess it depends on who you are as to what you think a golden oldie is but I consider them more along the lines of what Brainstorm said. Actually I just made myself a cd from a bunch of oldies that I got off of ITunes and I love it as well as everyone else that has heard it-That includes my daughters ages 1 and 2 ! It has Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets, Buddy Holly, The Coasters, The Flamingoes (they sang "I only have eyes for you" which is one of my all time favorites, Fats Domino -even the Andrew sisters, etc...There is just something timeless about that type of music and it makes a lot of people happy, including myself !!

I do! In fact, I'm watching a Doo Wop concert on PBS right now.
Some of the artists that have been on already are Betty Everett and Jerry Butler, The Diamonds, The Cadillacs, Gene Chandler, Mel Carter.......

Rythmn, rhyme and melody...where did it all go?
All this noise pollution going on.
Used to be a big hit came out practically every day.
Today, you can count on your fingers the number of good songs being made.
Who said Golden Moldies? Can't wait until mildew covers these C.D.'s. Eventually junk gets burried.
Those were artists you named, friend.

I was born in 1946--you betch a I love them! I just saw Dion perform on the 30th. The man is 67 years old, and he still looks great, sings great, and is still making new music.
