Only if the person was burned within a week of dying and being transported to the crematorium.

More than 7 days since the burn, and no cigar. (No pun intended.)

Why this rule? Well, people were trying to get discounts on ages-old burn victims' cremations, and crematoriums were losing money. I think a few major crematoriums even went out of business.

This was called The Great Burn Burn-Out Era.

It was hellacious. Undertakers jumping out of their mortuary windows and everything.

And there was no one to bury or cremate them, since they were normally the ones who would do it!

Yeah, back in the days when we had to walk to school in five feet of snow, uphill both ways.

Be grateful you didn't live in those awful times.

I just saw an ad in the Sunday paper. 10% off pre-burned bodies. Get a free potato peeler if you cut out the coupon and bring it in within 5 days.
