What conspiracy theories does anyone believe in?
Why do people believe in conspiracy theories despite so much evidence against so many of them?
Do conspiracy theories do any harm to society or do they benefit society by making people think?
If I told you the Big Oil producers probably already had an affordable, renewable, accessible, and, readily available alternative fuel source and were REALLY just trying to squeeze out as many billions in profit as possible, how many would believe it (that's my personal conspiracy theory)?
Taking my previous question into consideration, are all those who believe in conspiracy theories crazy?
What conspiracy theories have you heard that so many people seem to agree with that are obviously wrong?

Just because a man is paranoid doesn't always mean he's wrong.

I do believe that there is something squirrely going on with 9/11. I haven't been able to place my finger on it yet but there...just...is.

Conspiracy theories are like psychics - a dime a dozen. Most are crap and the ones that are real get overshadowed by the ones that are crap.

BTW, after viewing Syriana and in light of everything that is going on, I think your theory may hold some water.

I think people who say the Holocaust is propaganda created by the Jews have no idea of what the hell they are talking about. That's one theory that deserves to be shot down.

BTW, I always thought theory meant something that was proven. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to say, Conspiracy hypothesis?

Personally, I don't subscribe to the theory about big oil producers having an alternative fuel source stashed away at area 51 or somewhere else.
I do believe some people believe in conspiricy theories because it simplifies the world for them and tells them all they need to know about a particular subject.
Others see disagreements among experts concerning certain events and believe there must be some other explanation. Others are simply anti-establishment. They don't believe anything they are told by the government. They don't trust the government.
Probably there are more conspiricy theories about the government than from any other source. Consider the election of 2000 in Florida. Remember the conspiricy theories at the deaths of Commerce secretary Ron Brown, and Senator Jeffers. The JFK assassination, the moon landing, and Aliens at Roswell. They all blame the government for coverup.

First, the federal government tampered with the medical studies related to Global Warming. This isn't thought, it's reality. You can't categorize alien abduction with truly disorders. Area fifty one stays secretive due to the fact that the federal government desires it that means. Why is El Nino, a meteorological phenomenon even recounted for your query? And why do you remember all the above as conspiracy myths?

Inventions have been bought up and never heard of again that could get much better miles to the gallon of gas. The oil industry doesn't want cars to be able to get 80 miles to a gallon of gas.
