Hi, I was a little confused as to why you know you "will lose 2 of my friends doing it." I would think that your two friends would be happy for you to have such a great opportunity. I also think it's great that your parents think you should take the role.

Even if it's the type of situation where you've already made a commitment to your two friends--say, for instance, that you've made plans to take a trip with them for two weeks, and now you won't be able to because of rehearsals for the musical--I would still expect your two friends to understand and say, "hey, with an opportunity like that, it's no problem."

Anyway, I'd go ahead and take the part, and if your two friends ask, tell them that you've gotten the part. If they have a problem with it, say something to the effect of, "Look, our friendship is really important, and I care about you, but this is something I really want to do, it's a great opportunity for me, and I'm going to take it." I think any good friend will understand where you're coming from and will say, "Okay, that makes sense."

Anyway, I hope it all works out. Good luck!

Yeah, I reckon you shouldn't accept the leading role in a Broadway musical and keep these two friends. And could you pass my number to the director while you're at it?

Do what you need to do. Think about yourself in this situation. If they were really your friends they will support you and encourage you to do whats right, not choose between the things you luv. If you want this role and your hearts in it do it. If you feel uneasy about this situation besides how u feel about your friends, don't to it. Ask your self which is going 2 make u happier, which one is goin to help u out, which one pleases you the most, which one hurted u the most. What gives you that feeling of satisfaction and total bliss.

If you have a shot to be in the limelight ,,, go for it . Only a shallow friend would dump you . Not much of a friend . as they say break a leg .....go for it ..... This may be a stepping stone to other rolls that may lead you into a career on the big screen ......then the so called friends can only say they knew you when ,,,,,,,

You can't think about your friends right now....this is an oppurtunity of a lifetime. Go to broadway or you will regret it for the rest of your life....your friends aren't your friends if they don't understand that

And you say they are your friends? Seems to me if they were they would be supporting you ALL THE WAY. So I would say go for it, if you choose not to then you only have yourself to blame. I can tell you not many would turn that opportunity down and you would be silly to but it's your life. You have to decide whats important to you!!!

If your friends are really friends, they should be happy for you. This is Broadway! If you are serious about performing, do not pass up this opportunity!

Why would you lose your friends over this? Think about it, they are not your true friends in the first place if you will loose them over something like this.

Well, honey, this is ultimately your life, and your friends should be supportive of you in your endeavors to better yourself. If you are going to lose two friends over this, they aren't truly your friends. I say congratulations and go for it!
